As we all know weather is mostly a function of the geagraphical and topographical conditions. The western parts of Orissa comes under the tropical zone. Hence the exterme climate is found to be a permenent feature here. The hottest spot in Orrisa was to be found in this region. Titilagarh, at about 70 kms from Bolangir, the District Head Qtrs has time and again experienced the bouts of hot weather raising the mercury to 45 to 47 degree celcious some day akmost every year invariably. Some indrustrial places like Rourkela, Talcher etc have also joined in the list of the red spots recently. While the people experience the earth surface as tha frying pan, the authorities, politicians and the persons around the power has yet to turn up, to find any solutions, like massive plantations, curbing industrial emmisions and a better watersupply system.
